On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met by our guide and transferred to hotel. The capital of Vietnam, Hanoi is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some Asia's most striking colonial architecture. The many lakes and parks make for relaxing atmosphere. If time permits we enjoy on a short cyclo ride through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places.

Day 2: VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: Ha Noi Sightseeing Vacation(B/-/-)

Today we spend a full day exploring the charming Hanoi City. The first stop is Ho Chi Minh Complex containing the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh, the Presidential Palace and the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts. Close to this complex is the One Pillar Pagoda, whose origins date back to the foundation of city. We follow it with a visit to the Temple of Literature, which is well known as the first university of Vietnam and the History Museum with an excellent collection of artifacts illustrating the Vietnamese history. The sightseeing also includes the outlaying Ethnologic Museum, dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups. Afterwards we drive back to the town center, stopping at the Tran Quoc Pagoda and Quan Thanh Temple. They are some major highlights set by the beautiful West Lake. We see these sights before continuing to the peaceful lake of Hoan Kiem with its sacred temple. In front of this lake is the famous water puppet theatre where we will see a fantastic performance.

Day 3: VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: HANOI — DUONG LAM VILLAGE SIGHTSEEING TRIP TO MAI CHAU (B/L/D)

In the morning, we start from Hanoi to Duong Lam village, a purely agricultural village of the DUONGVIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: Duong lam villageNorthern Red River delta where still preserve many hundred-year-old houses. It will be your unique experience as you walk along tiny ancient alleys; visit Mong Phu Communal House in Mong Phu hamlet - the only hamlet whose original village entrance gate remains intact, dedicated to national heroes. Have the opportunity to bike in the village and have some talks with the locals in their ancient houses by visiting the ancient houses of Mr Lam, Mr Ha and Mr Huyen. After that, we continue walking to visit Mia Pagoda (other hamlet in Duong Lam village), is built in 15 th century and admire 287 statues of all sizes, among with are famous sculpture such as the statue of Buddha in the Himalayas and the statues of the Eight Vajra Deities. Then visit Ngo Quyen temple and Phung Hung temple, places dedicated to two national heroes Ngo Quyen and Phung Hung.
Lastly, we will go back a local family to enjoy your special lunch with Vietnamese foods in an ancient house.
At around 14:00, we will keep heading to Mai Chau valley & view sunset behind the hills. After dinner in a family, we have the opportunity to take part to a traditional dance show.

This morning we are going to have a short trekking journey (or bike tour) to some of remote VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: SON LAvillages of Thai People inhabiting in Mai Chau valley
The journey northwest begins as we depart from Mai Chau and pass through the undulating terrains of tea plantations, terraced rice fields and sleepy villages linked to the road which is the main artery of trade between the northwestern region and the capital city. This is our first glimpse of rural Vietnam and sets the tone for the days ahead. En route we have several stops to stretch our legs and visit some roadside villages. The thrilling drive will deliver us in Son La by mid or late afternoon depending on road and traffic conditions. We check in hotel and enjoy a short walk around this mountain town. There is a little traffic on roads and many Black Thai in traditional costume scurry in all directions.

Day 5: VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: Son La Adventure Trekking Trips to Dien Bien Phu (B/-/-)

The provincial museum and the top hill old prison are some of major sights in Son La Town. We include these in a short morning tour before we wind our way past the stunning mountain scenery. The road conditions are very poor therefore we need to bring along our spirit of adventure until Dien Bien Phu, the site of the decisive battle in Vietnam's struggle for VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: DIEN BIEN PHUindependence in 1954. Once reaching Dien Dien we drive around to see this fast growing town and make stop at Dien Bien Phu museum which details the event in place. We follow it with a visit to the strategic hill A1 and the old battle field where the lush vegetation grows behind many war relics including old French tanks and artillery pieces.

Heading out of Dien Phu Phu Town, we spend a full day travelling into Vietnam's most mountainous region. The roads are difficult at times, but the spectacular landscape with a mixture of terraced fields and colourful local population makes the hardship all worthwhile. Along the way we encounter the mountaineers going about their daily business. These local villagers are almost the Red Hmong, Kho Mu, Mang, Dao people who still retain their age old cultural traditions and wear distinctive costumes. We arrive in Tam Duong by late afternoon and may have time strolling around. This small hill town is surrounded by the breathtaking mountain backdrop and frequently visited by the ethnic minority people. O/N in Tam Duong.

Day 7: VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: Tam Duong - Sapa (B/-/-)

The breathtaking north scenery is unequalled although the conditions are very basic. Today we continue driving along a zigzag route to Sapa. The road conditions is very poor in some places VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: SAPAbut it is still a wonderful trip for photograph hunters as we pass though the various scenic water falls, charming villages and rolling mountains. The hill station of Sa Pa was founded in early last century and rapidly became an ideal place for anyone seeking an enjoyable escape from the unbearable heat in plains. At an elevation of 1,500 meters, it has some warm days and cool evenings. Today we can soak up the fresh climate as much as you want by spending the time to wander around and catch the first look of Sa Pa. The ethnic minority people are frequently seen in this hill town and small vendors along the street sell local textiles and handicraft.

08h00: We are picked up at your hotel and then keep going to Halong Bay. On the way, we will stop by a Humanity Center where almost disable children known as Agent Orange affected VIETNAM ADVENTURE PACKAGE IN THE NORTH: HA LONG BAYvictims in the Vietnam war are living & working and contributing to the social development. You will have chance to see how much the war did damage Vietnam & how hard Vietnamese people are surviving.
12.30: We are welcome on the traditional junk and have welcome drink. Start the boat trip to visit Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. This picturesque “Dragon descending to the sea” Bay has 1,969 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Visit of a grotto then seafood lunch on board.
The excursion includes the visit to Con Cho Island, Dinh Huong Island, Canh Buom Island, Ga Choi Island. Swimming on Titop or Hoa Cuong beach. Watching sunset. Close to the palace are some striking French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Sai Gon Post Office. Day 2: GRAND VIETNAM ADVENTURE TOUR: FULL DAY TO MY THO + BEN TRE (B/L/-) 

Heading out of town, we travel by roads to the Mekong Delta. This plain region boasts the largest rice bowl of Vietnam. On arrival in My Tho we board a boat navigating around the intricate small canals, which is a great way to observe the local lifestyle close-up and catch a view dotted by many islands. The exciting river trip will pass by the lush green vegetation towards the famous Unicorn Island where we have a chance to stroll around an orchard, taste many seasonal fruits watching bird in Ben tre and see farmers at work. We follow it with a trip to the sacred Lam Ty Ni Pagoda and the Hang Nga Guesthouse. This construction is well known as the Crazy House because of its bizarre architecture. The lively central market and the old rail station are also visited before we travel by roads passing through the undulating terrains to the picturesque coastal town of Nha Trang. En route we make stopover at the scenic Ngoan Muc Pass and the Po Klong Jarai Cham Towers. The modern comforts will be left behind as we head the coast towards the Central Highlands and travel via the famous town of Buon Ma Thuat to Lak Lake. This remote area is surrounded by the rugged mountain backdrops and the sleepy hill tribe villages. We enjoy one and half hour elephant ride to explore the rural life and the scenic countryside before transferring to the June village. This night will be spent in traditional long house of a M'nong family . The exciting exploration continues with a short dugout ride around the scenic Lak Lake. Today we have a walking option to discover a nearby village of the M'nong people. This ethnic group has settled here long time ago and made for the main local population. We continue our overland expedition along the central highlands though Vietnam's biggest growing coffee area in Pleiku to Komtum. The deep contrast of lush vegetation and red surface of basaltic soil is incredible all along the way. Once reaching Komtum Town we visit the traditional culture center, the Komtum Seminary, the Wooden Church and the Banar hill tribe village. They are just some of the major attractions in town.

An early morning start to drive towards Hoi An. We pass the beautiful mountainous region on our way to the central coast region. On arrival in Hoi An we start our sightseeing tour. This delightful town was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced down the centuries by a myriad of traders from various cultures. The following destination of our trip is Hue. which was once the feudal capital of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945. Along the way we visit the China Beach , the sensational Marble Mountains and the famous Cham Museum which boasts the largest collection of the Cham treasures in Vietnam. The winding road begins as we make our way up the spectacular Hai Van pass. A view from the top of the pass is one of Vietnam's most impressive panoramic scenes. On arrival in Lang Co, we make a break by the beach for a leisurely swim. The impressive drive will deliver us to Hue by early afternoon. We start seeing Hue with the massive citadel, containing the Imperial City and the Purple Forbidden City. This royal residence was all but destroyed during the 1968 Hoi An Ancient town in Viet namTet Offensive, however it is still fascinating to walk among the ruins.

The beautiful riverside pagoda of Thien Mu is one of the oldest ancient architectural structures for religious work ship in Hue. 12.30 We are welcome on the traditional junk and have welcome drink. Start the boat trip to visit Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. This picturesque “Dragon descending to the sea” Bay has 1,969 limestone islets rising from the sea, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. Visit of a grotto then seafood lunch on board.
The excursion includes the visit to Con Cho Island, Dinh Huong Island, Canh Buom Island, Ga Hanoi cityChoi Island. Swimming on Titop or Hoa Cuong beach. Watching sunset. Day 2: SAPA ADVENTURE TOUR: LAOCAI RAILWAYS STATION - SAPA ADVENTURE TOURS - YLINH HO - LAO CHAI - TAVAN HOMESTAY  PACKAGE (B/L/D)

06h00: Arrive at Lao Cai Railways Station, transfer to Sapa. Breakfast and have a short walk inside the town.
At 10 am: we leave the hotel and start trekking.  The first part is on the road but we soon turn to the right and walk on a small path down the valley to the Muong Hoa River and from here to the Black H’mong village Lao Chai San, Lao Chai. Black H’mong is one of the biggest minority groups in the Sapa area. They are proud of their culture and keep their traditions and way of living. They have their own language and wear traditional indigio blue clothing.  After this you continue to Ta Van village (1.200 m) to visit Zay people. Zay is a fairly small minority group of about 38.000 people who live mainly in the mountains in Northwest Vietnam. The development has meant that some of their old customs have been lost but many women still wear traditional shirts with a purple, blue or green colour. The Zay houses are build in wood and bamboo with clay floor. We stay overnight with a local family in Ta Van and have our dinner here.SAPA ADVENTURE TOUR: Y Linh Waterfall in Sa Pa* Trekking distance: 15 km

 

Day 3: SAPA ADVENTURE TOUR: TAVAN TREKKING TOUR TO GIANG TA CHAI - BAN HO ADVENTURE TOURS (B/L/D)

After the breakfast we continue to visit Red Dao people at Giang Ta Chai where we also see a waterfall. The Red Dao women have very colourful red embroideries and coins on their clothing. On their head they wear a red scarf. Some of the women have shaved off their eyebrows because of a nice Red Zao’ Legend.
We continue along small paths in the rice fields, cross the Muong Hoa River and arrive to the Tay village Ban Ho (900 m). Tay is the most populous of the hill tribes. Because of the development and adaptation to the Vietnamese society some of them have started wearing Vietnamese clothing. But most women still wear the traditional checkered headscarf. We stay overnight in a wooden Tay stilt house. If we reach Ban Ho in the early afternoon you will have time to swim in a nearby river. In the evening we have dinner with the Tay family.

Day 4: SAPA ADVENTURE TOUR: BAN HO HOMESTAY - NAM TOONG TREKKING TOURS - NAM KEN - MUONG BO ADVENTURE TOURS (B/L/D)

After breakfast you trek up to to the Red Dzao Village at Nam Ken & the Xa Pho the village of Xa SAPA ADVENTURE TOUR: Ban ho village in SapaPho tribe the smalest group in Sapa who have very little contact with modern Vietnam. Overnight in Muong Bo Village of Tay people.

- Picked up at hotel in Hanoi at 08.30 and follow the national road 6 heading west to Hoa Binh. RHYTHM OF VIETNAM NORTHWEST
- After a coffee break, the road gets up and down hill for 60 km through the mid-land region of Hoa Binh province passing over the two famous passes: The Cun and the Thung Khe. Clients will enjoy several stops for stunning scenery, especially the stop at the top of Thung Khe offers spectacular panorama of the Mai Chau Valley.
- Arrive at Ban Lac Village of the Thai ethnic people located at the center of Mai Chau Valley at noon. Lunch break in a local home.
-The whole afternoon is for walking to explore villages of the Thai people, scattering around the famous Mai Chau Valley. There are a lot chances to contact local peoples at home and at work: Men plough, harrowing with water buffaloes…women weaving by wooden looms or making the embroidery brocades…

- Breakfast and leave Ban Lac for a road transfer 25 km to Ban Mai Village of the Muong. The rest hour of the morning is for walking to explore this charming village to learn of interesting way of life of the this large ethnic group before lunch break.
- Enjoying the boat trip for the whole afternoon cruising on the peaceful water of the upstream of the Da reservoir, witnessing local peoples earning a living by fishing, making bamboo products and paying visit to a small village of the Black Zao.
- Back to Ban Mai before it gets dark, enjoy dinner and relax. Day summary: Transfer 25 km // Walk for 3 hours// boat trip 3 hours // Home stay.
DAY 3: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR: Ban Mai – Moc Chau – Thu Cuc (B/L/D)
- Breakfast and leave Ban Mai early in the morning at about 8.00 am. Transfer to Moc Chau for 1,5 hour. Stops along the way to pay visiting to villages of the Red and Blue H’mong. Upon arrival to Moc Chau, clients will enjoy a long break for visiting tea farm, enjoying local diary products.
- Leaving national road 6 to follow the provincial road 41 for 130 km to Thu Cuc via Phu Yen with a Da River crossing. Lunch break along the way.

- Enjoy the afternoon walk for about 1,5 hour around the lush valley to learn lot of interesting things from the Muong, famous sticky rice cultivators.

DAY 4: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR: Thu Cuc – Ba Khe – Nghia Lo (B/L/D)



- Breakfast and say good bye to hosting family at about 09.00 am. Spend the whole morning walking through the length of the Thu Cuc Valley from village to villages of the Muong and then passing a charming village of the Flower H’mong. Enjoying contacting and making acquaintance with hospitable locals. The walk ends at My A Village, then lunch break.
- Picked up for a road ride for 20 km to Ba Khe, spend an hour here to visit the famous tea farms and learn about technique to make green tea.

DAY 5: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR: Nghia Lo – Nam Bung – Tu Le (B/L/D)



- Breakfast and then spend an hour to visit Nghia Lo Market which lies in town but very popular to the minority peoples living in the surrounding region such as Thai, Zao, H’mong who often wear colorful traditional costumes to go to the market.
- Walking for 3 hours to pay visiting to villages of the Thai peoples scattering around a stunning valley. Back to town for lunch and then check out hotel.
- Transfer by road for nearly an hour to Nam Bung. Paying visit to a small village of the Black Zao for an hour. Continue by road to Pha Tren Village, located at the center of Tu Le Valley which is famous for production of special sticky rice. Spend the rest hours of the afternoon to walk around the village and then trying a bath at the hot-spring in local way! Day summary: Transfer 50 km // Walk for 5 hours // Home stay.

DAY 6: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR: Tu Le – Mu Cang Chai – Than Uyen (B/L/D)RHYTHM OF VIETNAM NORTHWEST



- Breakfast and departure at about 08.30 am. Challenging a 4 hours hard trek uphill the Khau Pha Pass which was famous in the first Indochina war for a fierce battle filed in 1952. Once leaving home stay, clients will take a easy path for an hour and then the pass gets narrower and tougher towards the top of the pass, passing several hamlets of the Black H’mong. Picnic lunch along the trail.
- Reaching to the top, great view opens wide overlooking down the lush rain forest. Picked up for a road transfer downhill for 25 km to Mu Cang Chai. Enjoy many stops along the way downhill to enjoy marvelous scenery of the terraced paddies.
- Continue by road for 50 km to Than Uyen Town let and arrive at the local guest house here in mid afternoon, check in and free to walk around this quiet town. Day summary: Transfer 50 km // Trekking for 4 hours // Home stay.

DAY 7: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR:  Than Uyen – Tram Ton Pass - Sapa (B/L/-)



- Breakfast and then leaving Than Uyen at about 08.30 am. Just after 20 km driving, the group will have a break for an hour to visit the Tan Uyen market to break local atmosphere in this small RHYTHM OF VIETNAM NORTHWEST town let. Then continue the road trip to Binh Lu with several stops along the way to visit villages of the Thai, Lu and Lao ethnic peoples. Continue along the newly built road for an hour to Chu Va Village of the Red H’mong located at the foot of Hoang Lien Mountain pass on the bank of clear stream. Take a quick look at this village before driving uphill the magnificent Hoang Lien Son Pass for 1,5 hours with some photo stops.
- Reach to Tram Ton Pass, stop for the panorama view of the Fanispan mountain and valleys. Continue along the road 18 km to Sapa Town let, the most famous former French hill station. - Lunch break in a local restaurant, check in hotel and the whole afternoon is set at leisure for walking around the charming town. DAY 8: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR:  Sapa – Hang Da – Hau Thao – Ta Van Giay(-/L/D)



- Breakfast, check out hotel at 08.30. Walk from Sapa Town along the motor way for 3 km. Turn left for a large rocky path uphill for 2 hours to Hang Da Village of the Black H’mong which sits at the height of 1,800 m overlooking down the Muong Hoa Valley. Paying visit to several local homes before lunch break.RHYTHM OF VIETNAM NORTHWEST
- Continue trekking along the trail on the high hill side for an hour and then gradually getting down to the Pho Village which consists of about 15 houses of the H’mong, scattering on rocky hill side.
- The trek process downhill all the way to Muong Hoa with a crossing to the other bank, then walking uphill for ½ hour to Ta Van Giay Village. Arriving to the home stay in mid afternoon and the rest of the day is for free walk around the village, enjoying marvelous landscapes in late afternoon light. DAY 9: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR: Ta Van Day – Giang Ta Van – Hang Lao Chai – Y Linh Ho (B/L/D)



- Breakfast and leave Ta Van at about 09.00 am. Firstly the group will follow a narrow trail up steep hull through a piece of bamboo forest which is well reserved as the lung of the village. Then the trail winds its way an high elevation for about 3 hours passing Giang Ta Van and Hang Lao Chai villages of the H’mong. This portion brings the most stunning scenery of Muong Hoa Valley while getting off the popular and touristic route which run along the lower elevation. RHYTHM OF VIETNAM NORTHWEST
- Picnic lunch along the way in the open or in a local home near Hang Lao Chai. Continue along the same trail up and down hill for 2,5 hours in the afternoon to Y Linh Ho Village. Arrival at home stay here at about 4.30 pm, then relax. Day summary: Trekking for 5 hours, grade 2 of 5 // Home stay.

DAY 10: VIETNAM NORTHWEST ADVENTURE TOUR:  Y Linh Ho – Cat Cat - Sapa – Lao Cai (B/L/D)



- Start trekking at about 09.00 am. The trek today probably will be the most interesting so far. The trail sneaking on high mountain side along the upstream part of the Muong Hoax River right along the foot of Fansipan. Cross the river by suspension bridge to the other side and from here it gets easier through the narrow valley for another 2 hour to Cat Cat waterfall. Group will have long lunch break here by the side of the river, enjoying traditional music, song an dance of the local ethnics played by a local band here.
- Picked up and transfer uphill to Sapa town in mid afternoon, freshen up and relax. -RHYTHM OF VIETNAM NORTHWEST
Transfer downhill along road 4D 37 km to Lao Cai station, dinner in restaurant here before boarding the night train for Hanoi. Day summary: Trekking 4 hours, grade 3 of 5 // Transfer 42 km.
